Given I write all these things down, I thought I would share a review of some of my favourite wines from the recent Generation Series and Anniversary Series limited edition wines from The Wine Society.

Disclaimer before I start – I am no longer a Wine Society employee though I do a little contract work for them in the Tastings Team and the Sustainability team. I am certainly not involved in the buying or selling of the wines and these opinions are all my own.


Generation Series

Affordable wines celebrating a ‘moment in time’ in the world of wine.

This year, to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the company, there are four launches of brand new wines called the ‘Generation Series’ which celebrate 50 year time chunks (fancy word – era). Currently we’re on the era of 1924 to 1974 (1974 to 2024 is being released in June.) But there are still some really great limited-edition bargains to be had so here are my top picks after a tasting of them I did back in April.
